It feels like we may be approaching an apocalyptic battle between what remains of the Christian egalitarian morality, and the solar morality of the superman.
There should be no holds barred in this battle because it is literally a battle for the future of the human species.
To quote @theredensign, "...so the real question, as we observe what's happening in Paris and around France, is not why the rioters want to tear down France's history. It's why the elite who govern France are uninterested in protecting it".
I've been re-reading David Gemmell's Sipstrassi series, Atlantis plays a background role in the story. I've long been haunted by images of a great flood, of civilisation gone awry and turned against natural order, apocalypse not by killer robots but by natural forces, as if the Earth itself turns against us. I see it now not as tsunamis, volcanoes, meteors etc but as human madness, human greed & stupidity, the flood isn't water but the pullulating biomass of 3rd Worlders swarming over Europe, the insane white Leftists who hate their own origin. There is a distinct last days of Atlantis mood these days.
Besides the point, but I did love David Gemmell. Sure, he wasn't exactly writing 'high art', but he wrote books for men that were actually enjoyable and touched on archetypally masculine themes. I'm not sure such a writer even exists anymore.
I loved him as a teen, rereading him in my late 20s I was pleasantly surprised at how good a writer and storyteller he is. His books often contain little gems of wisdom about women, violence, hardship, self-mastery. His stepfather was a local hardman, then he was a news reporter, good background for his works. Was just reading Last Sword of Power, there's a small bit with a wily Jew who cheats his master, most amusing, can't imagine it being written today.
I was watching LE coverage of the riots yesterday, and they were pointing out that despite everything, there is a still a stubborn refusal to see that the "French" are not "French" across the French political landscape. The heart of the issue is the French belief in their post racial republic, when third worlders are playing a very different game. Macron's "How could French people do this to France?" is an almost perfect encapsulation of this blindness. It's Burden's Political Dark Matter and Dave's "Wars of Belief" served up on a platter.
I started wondering if there was any desecration severe enough to break the spell of the Republic has over the French. Would Algerians (And/or Leftists, but the racial revanchist angle is clearly the vanguard in this latest unrest) unambiguously toppling the Eiffel Tower strike at the soul enough? The Louvre? Notre Dame (not that they haven't already tried that one)?
A few years ago I was in a hotel in Lyon. I was woken up around 4 AM by the sound of screeching tyres and a high revving engine. When I looked out of the window I saw about six North African men hanging out of an open top BMW as it teared down the wrong side of the road doing doughnuts. Later on someone rammed into a lamppost in a large van and knocked it over. At breakfast I asked the hotel manager what had happened. Algeria had beaten Morocco in the Africa Nations Cup or maybe it was the other way around but they basically celebrated the win by wrecking the neighbourhood and potentially causing a serious road 'accident'. The manager shrugged his shoulders and reassured me it'll soon settle down. It was as normal and accepted by them as the Notting Hill Carnival is to us. What we're seeing now is the islamo - communist alliance in full flow the weak middle class white commies hiding behind their muslim warrior allies/mercenaries. Allies for now at least. Their reward is free bling from the shops they ransack. The same shops that use the men as models usually pictured with white women. I wonder what would happen if white men just started ripping them off the walls in the local shopping centres....
Born in '68 most of my childhood was dominated by knowing that everything could end anytime, everywhere from a Soviet missile strike. When people ponder why the 90s was such a happier time I think part of it was having the threat lifted from all our subconscious minds like the lid from a pressure-cooker.
The thing is those wicked Russians really did love their children too & had as much to lose as us, thank God. They're clever people like us, they thought about future consequences, they play chess don't you know lol
This existential threat isn't clever, doesn't really give a fuck about their children the way the Russians did & in many cases has no concept of far future.
I'm grateful for you Morgoth for putting me on to Spengler because every day, even though I wish it weren't so, I see his ideas made manifest. My Grandfather's generation wouldn't have stood by while girls were abused, they wouldn't have put up with the ritual humiliation that we do & while they probably wouldn't have asked who it was that keeps opening the city gates to let the barbarians in, they wouldn't be standing around talking instead of acting.
Either somethings gonna break soon or it's all kaput.
I woke up this morning thinking of a woman whose pharmacy had been not just looted, but utterly destroyed by the rioters, who broke everything they didn’t care to steal. They pulled the light fixtures from the ceiling and smashed up the “pharmacy robot”.
There’s a focused maliciousness, an urge to utterly destroy.
Another chilling video is at the monument to La Republique where a man was not only dislodging the stonework, but taking a hammer and calmly smashing it up into little pieces.
I lived in France for a year at the tail end of the 90s.
We're suspended between two buckling infrastructures.
The one, built by a far more pragmatic, labour engaged, and physically human-sized technologic globalist society ; and the other : an oikophohically disengaged mass, shrinking into a "global village" of sectarian madness, as their television monitors get bigger and their nativist aspirations shrink.
It only seems appropriate that France should pre-empt the Anglo-American and Middle Eastern collapse, as these pieces have always played "hot & heavy" with their opponents dominoes.
Maybe, the tide is now high enough to tackle the elephant in public, and finally sell t-shirts & hoodies saying,
One thing seems for certain, this is a huge opportunity for Rupert Lowe and he seems to be capitalising on it. This is a good opportunity to bring more of our moderates on side.
I like reading this and 100% agree. Immigration is a civilizational issue - every other issue pales in comparison. This should be every right winger's north star. It doesn't even have to be about white identity - do you want Tibetan culture erased too? Berber? Mayan? I happen to be white, so this is near and dear to me. I will support any politician or government that reduces or eliminates mass immigration. Trump is doing this - however imperfectly, he's doing it. If you've given him up because of Iran or Israel, you are lost. To build on Morgoth's line, I'd rather have a drink with a Zionist than with an open-borders supporter.
I haven´t spoken to many normies or even left-leaning people about the "student riots" and the destruction, but I would be very surprised if any significant number would just dismiss the wanton destruction as being irrelevant or by referring to omelettes and eggs.
Online, it may feel as if there is a sizable group supportive of one thing or another, but does that impression necessarily translate into being representative of people real life? We also know that in social media, "vibes" can be astroturfed or botted. This is not to dispute that people like that exist - they do - but just to be cautious when extrapolating from twitter ratios to political realities on the ground.
I also can´t help but consider Blackhorse´s observation, with which I agree, that the French state could put an end to this if it wanted, which in turn begs the question why it doesn´t.
Perhaps I have had my tin foil hat on for too long, but to me it appears clear that Le Pen will reap the political benefits of this atrocity. Looking at various comments she made in the recent past, it appears clear that she is well on the path of being a Meloni or a Farage rather than anybody more "based". AA read the regime signals correctly in the run-up to the 2024 Presidential election. Perhaps the stars are now about to align for Le Pen in the same way.
There were 300,000 more people on the streets than the French Government had predicted. If Le Pen wins and tries to fix the problems, there will only be more rioting.
I don't see any of this as planned, I just view it as decay.
I’ve finally ponied up and become a paying customer: on John Carter’s say so.
Alexander Solzhenitsyn in his 1978 convocation address at Harvard:
“How short a time ago, relatively, the small, new European world was easily seizing colonies everywhere, not only without anticipating any real resistance, but also usually despising any possible values in the conquered people's approach to life. On the face of it, it was an overwhelming success. There were no geographic frontiers [limits] to it. Western society expanded in a triumph of human independence and power. And all of a sudden in the 20th century came the discovery of its fragility and friability.
We now see that the conquests proved to be short lived and precarious -- and this, in turn, points to defects in the Western view of the world which led to these conquests. Relations with the former colonial world now have turned into their opposite and the Western world often goes to extremes of subservience, but it is difficult yet to estimate the total size of the bill which former colonial countries will present to the West and it is difficult to predict whether the surrender not only of its last colonies, but of everything it owns, will be sufficient for the West to foot the bill.”
His question has been answered: “everything” is the price.
Here is Marshal McLuhan’s opening sentence from the introduction of Understanding Media, which to my mind, is the largest proclamation imaginable:
“After three thousand years of explosion, by means of frag-
mentary and mechanical technologies, the Western world is
imploding.”
So how are ya liking the implosion: lol!
I put these two quotes together to suggest it was inevitable; the phenomenon is larger and almost completely invisible as per McLuhan’s highly deterministic view of the world:
“ The message of any Medium or technology is the change of scale or pace or pattern that it introduces into human affairs”.
Yes, the bizarre self loathing leftist ontology is an excellerant, and we certainly did it to ourselves, but this implosion was inevitable: it was foretold by our invention of electricity.
Ya anti gonna remigration yer way outta here. lol.
And leftism ultimately is a war on beauty. Whites are the most beautiful of all humans, Western culture the most beautiful of all civilizations, so, ultimately, they must be put to the sword and torch. The native and nihilistic French who are participating in the destruction will follow in the steps of Robespierre, as will Mélenchon himself. It isn't murder/suicide, only suicide with a longer note.
It feels like we may be approaching an apocalyptic battle between what remains of the Christian egalitarian morality, and the solar morality of the superman.

I will buy this 'cost of living crisis' excuse when a large chunk of the population ditch their 'Luxury Beliefs'

France is gone.
Will be interesting to see who can step in among this increasing chaos and overlay it all with their narrative for their own ends.

Average American retirement age is 61. At 62 one can get social security benefits
