This was always going to happen before the window of having an imbecile in the White House closed. I'm seriously starting to believe the whole Oct 7th thing was allowed to happen, or even encouraged.
If we lived in a sane country you'd get an award for writing of this quality and it would appear in a weekend broadsheet. Things move so quickly it's easy to lose track of the events leading up to this and some of Trumps campaign promises. It looks like there's only one group he isn't prepared to let down. We all know who they are. Closer to home 'our' Nigel looks like a lost pimp eroding his soul away as he moves ever deeper into that long dark tunnel. Rupert Lowe just needs to keep his hands clean, stick to his principles and watch Reform shit their very expensive bed.
This time it's different. America in 2001 was very different demographically, socially, and economically. Americans are not rallying to the war effort this time. Most Americans are disillusioned, bankrupt, and exhausted.
I've had numerous runs in with the pasty faced, panda-eyed Christian zionists, and every single one of them was nasty and foul. And the decades since 9/11's catastrophic forever wars have left them heavily discredited. Mike Huckabee's interview with Tucker Carlson was disastrous for them and exposed their true face--which is apocalyptic and insane.
Also, the people that were cheerleading the 2003 invasion of Iraq--such as Tucker Carlson and Andrew Sullivan--are largely against this war. Voices from the right and left are howling. One of the polls I saw showed 75% of Americans being against war with Iran.
I estimate that Trump has three weeks to win this war, or he will be impeached and jailed after the mid-term elections this summer. MAGA is dead. Whatever shreds of support Trump has will wither away when oil hits $150 a barrel and economies collapse. I don't expect America to stay together much longer after that.
However, if Iran does fold (somehow) Trump might be able to hang on, just because the Democrats are so horribly dystopian. But I don't expect Iran to fold like cheap suit. If the war does drag on, the Western economies will fold.
When Trump was re-elected, I predicted elsewhere that he would do some based things domestically while cucking out on foreign policy. This seems to have come true, as the US golem does the bidding of its Zionist overlords. As you said, support for Israel is dwindling, and demographics are against them -- their time is running out, so they're making their gambit for regional dominance with this war. But also as you said, too much has changed since last time, and most people aren't going to fall for the same old neocon script again 25 years later. I for one won't be getting baited & switched, I've seen too much.
There's too many people with a child like Churchillian enthusiasm for war in even our side , and a pathetic simpery for USA power Brits getting war excitmemt erections by associating them selves mentally with the yanks , even though none of this helps us in anyway what do ever , very simply USA wants to cut off oil to china and Russia, that will harm us too , theres the other reason too but Im not going there here , I don't think that's helpful to you , nice article, but there trouble ahead for pragmatic social conservatives? Like us .. , this is another split like in COVID , the ho ray Henrys Vs the sane
I think Russia-Ukraine was the retard war. That's what you see when left wingers try and fight. Iran is for right wingers. I think there's something rather refreshing about it, even the cringey language. It's much preferable to the feminine cocaine-fueled posturing of European leaders, plus Biden. Not that I support the war, but I think Euros need to watch and learn what alphas do. Euros used to do this kind of thing regularly before being castrated by liberalism.
''The faux “might makes right” framing is utterly hollow because in 2026, everyone can see that the fox-like schemers and corrupters have the mighty leashed like a dog.''
If you believe that Trump is on Israel's leash. That is not the case. Militant Zionists are a big part of this, but so are the Arab states. Much of the Middle East is now first world. It's not a collection of dusty theocratic backwater states anymore, being pushed around by major powers and Israeli scheming. They want skyscrapers and orchestras and foreign investment. Everyone sees what a ME state can do if it just puts away the angry imams.
Iran, however, is the lone ME state where it's still a 14th century imam enjoyer, with literally-pedo rulers and a jinnbrained populace that would kill you for not being like them. Iran deserves its fate, and I wouldn't get too upset about it.
I mean, besides much else I disagree with in your post, you're essentially arguing for the Paul Wolfowitz/Dick Cheney playbook that Trump explicitly rejected and presented himself as an alternative to.
The idea that the Middle East could be transformed with shopping malls and feminism is what neoconservatism was all about. Except without Blair's idealism, just extra Zionist bloodlust.
I am surprised myself that I am not 100% against the war, because I hated Wolfowitz & Co back in the day. However 1) rational peoples around the world DO want shopping malls and 2) I remember the neocons talking a lot of shit, but doing nothing, after 2003. They wanted to bomb Iran, but didn't. They went on news shows instead. I don't agree that we should be involved in Iran in principle, but in practice (and in reality) I appreciate the alpha energy and the "just do it" mentality. We have lost this in the West. This kind of thing is what created our nice comfortable society in the first place. Before it was ruined by feminine narrative-building and "soft power".
The funny thing is, I think the neocons were not the warlike goons we imagined them to be, but rather scheming harridans. The Livia to Rome's Augustus.
Even after this, the international law retards will still believe we can’t stop a few dinghies because of the ECHR.
This was always going to happen before the window of having an imbecile in the White House closed. I'm seriously starting to believe the whole Oct 7th thing was allowed to happen, or even encouraged.
Very convenient, that wasn't it.
This is harsh, in fact very harsh, far too harsh. On actual retards that is, this is harsh on people who are actually retarded!
Hope Farage, Tommy fans, and GB News presenters supporting this NeoCon bloodbath will at least take in a Iranian refugee when the shit hits the fan.
Reform have gone all in with Zi0 NeoCon war. Any refugees need to be called "The Farage Wave".
One potential scenario, if we're dragged in, is that we will bring in all the Iranians who were on our side, like with Afghanistan.
The mainstream right is always looking to carve out special treatment for such people.

Thanks. I think Restore has dodged this bullet, thankfully.

Brave New World.

I wonder if enthusiasm for this war will wear off before or after Tehran looks like Gaza.
I think the intended outcome is to make Tehran look like Gaza.
Unfortunately I have to agree

Some have started referring to the US-Israel coalition as the Epstein Empire. This fits. Operation AIPAC Fury. Operation Epstein Fury.
What's happening in Iran is pure evil. The people supposedly on the right that cheer it on are the biggest retards of them all.

It's America's fate I'm worried about.
