I watched this film last year, and thought it a fascinating telling of the McDonald's corporate story. It also made me seriously question - and not for the first time, I might add - the relationship of the political 'right' to Ray Kroc's brand of predatory and rapacious liberal-capitalism, versus the authenticity and originality of the McDonald brothers. Good work, especially ever, gentlemen.
Great stream. I'll admit that I often don't watch Classic Movies because I haven't seen the film being discussed, haven't seen The Founder either but that didn't matter. Like you I make the occasional visit to McDonalds when out. In my experience most of the people they employ appear to be local rather than imports. But very noticeable these days is the constant stream of deliveroo people coming and going. In the Yookay you don't even need to go to the modern un-inviting Maccies, you just get it delivered to your door. Honestly, sad as it is I'm nostalgic for the days when people would at least make the effort to go out and get their slop!
