I saw this when it was first released in the theaters, and again a few years later with my dad. I lovee it. I've lived in Alaska for about 16 years and can say that Neeson's job doesn't exist, and even though wolf attacks do happen they are EXTREMELY rare. You're much more likely to be killed by a bear or moose. Like Morgoth, I'm happy to just go with the flow of the story even though wolves don't really behave as they're shown to in the movie.

I love the deep dive into the themes of the movie. The writers were definitely going for something more than "man punches wolves to death in the snow" even though that's how it was marketed. It is a movie for men, by men.
